SafeNet Trusted Access for Quinyx

Overview

Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for Quinyx application is a three-step process:

1.Quinyx setup

2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup

3.Verify authentication

Quinyx Setup

As a prerequisite, download the Identity Provider metadata from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking the Download metadata file button. You will need this metadata in one of the steps below.

Perform the following steps to configure SafeNet Trusted Access as your Identity Provider in Quinyx:

1.Log in to the Quinyx dashboard as an administrator using the https://app.quinyx.com URL and click the Settings tab.

2.Click the Global tab.

3.On the Global window, click the SSO configuration tab and then perform the following steps:

a.Select the Update SSO settings checkbox.

b.Open the Identity Provider metadata that you downloaded from the SafeNet Trusted Access console in a text editor and then copy the entire text of the file.

c.Under XML data, paste the text that you copied in the previous step and click Save.

d.Under Configuration data, complete the following fields:

Field Value to be Set
SSO route Enter a valid string.
SSO authentication type Select Email.
SSO attribute Enter EmailAddress.

e.Click Save.

f.Click Generate SP metadata. The Quinyx metadata will be downloaded automatically on you local machine. Save it at your preferred location.

SafeNet Trusted Access Setup

After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in Quinyx, the second step is to activate the Quinyx application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:

1.In the Applications pane, you will notice that the Quinyx application that you added previously is currently in inactive state by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, Quinyx) and proceed to the next step.

2.Under STA Setup, click Upload Quinyx Metadata.

3.On the Metadata upload window, click Browse to search and select the Quinyx metadata that you downloaded earlier in step 3(f) of Quinyx Setup.

Under Account Details, the service provider metadata information is displayed.

4.Click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the Quinyx application in SafeNet Trusted Access.

Verify Authentication

Using STA Console

Navigate to the Quinyx login URL, https://app.quinyx.com/<SSO route>. You will be redirected to the Quinyx colsole. Click on Admin portal. You will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Quinyx ticket portal after authentication.

Using STA User Portal

Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click on the Quinyx application icon, you should be redirected to the Quinyx ticket portal after authentication.
