SafeNet Trusted Access for PurelyHR

Overview

Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for PurelyHR is a three-step process:

1.PurelyHR setup

2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup

3.Verify authentication

PurelyHR Setup

As a prerequisite, download the Identity Provider signing certificate from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking the Download X.509 certificate button. You will need this certificate in one of the steps given below.

Perform the following steps to configure SafeNet Trusted Access as your Identity Provider in PurelyHR:

1.Log in to PurelyHR as an administrator using the URL,

https://<DomainName>.PurelyHR.com/dashboard URL

Where, <DomainName> is your company's subdomain registered with PurelyHR.

2.Click SSO SETTINGS.

3.Under SSO Settings, perform the following steps:

a.In the Connector field, select Generic SAML.

b.Click on the Service Provider Metadata (XML) link, the PurelyHR metadata is download automatically on your localhost.

c.Open the identity provider signing certificate that you download earlier from the SafeNet Trusted Access console in a text editor and copy the entire text.

d.In the X.509 Certificate field, paste the entire text that you copied in the previous step.

e.In the IdP Issuer Url field, enter the ISSUER/Entity ID URL that is provided on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.

You can copy this URL by clicking on the Copy to Clipboard icon available next to the ISSUER/Entity ID field.

f.In the IdP Endpoint Url field, enter the SingleSignOnService URL that is provided on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.

You can copy this URL by clicking on the Copy to Clipboard icon available next to the SingleSignOnService field.

g.Select remaining options as per your preferred configuration.

h.Click Save Changes.

SafeNet Trusted Access Setup

After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in PurelyHR, the second step is to activate the PurelyHR application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:

1.In the Applications pane, you will notice that the PurelyHR application that you added previously is currently in inactive state by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, PurelyHR) and proceed to the next step.

2.Under STA Setup, click Upload PurelyHR Metedata.

3.On the Metadata upload window, click Browse to search and select the PurelyHR metadata that you downloaded earlier in step 3(b) of PurelyHR Setup.

Under Account Details, the service provider metadata information is displayed.

4.Click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the PurelyHR application in SafeNet Trusted Access.

Verify Authentication

Using STA Console

Navigate to the PurelyHR login URL, https://<Domain Name>.purelyhr.com/sso-initiate, where <Domain Name> is your company's subdomain registered with PurelyHR. You will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to your PurelyHR application after authentication.

Using STA User Portal

Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click on the PurelyHR application icon, you should be redirected to your PurelyHR application after authentication.
