SafeNet Trusted Access for HipChat
Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for HipChat is a three-step process:
2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup
As a prerequisite, download the Identity Provider metadata from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking the Download metadata file button. You will need this metadata in one of the steps below.
1.Log in to the HipChat console as an administrator using the https://<DNS or IP Address of HipChat> URL.
2.On the HipChat console, click the Group admin tab and then click the Authentication tab.
3.Under the SAML single sign-on authentication option, click Configure.
4.Under Connect to your SAML identity provider, perform the following steps:
a.In the Provider field, select Custom SAML 2.0.
b.Below the Identity Provider metadata field, click on the click here to upload to search and select the metadata file you downloaded earlier from the SafeNet Trusted Access console.
c.Click Parse Metadata. The SafeNet Trusted Access metadata information is displayed in the Entity ID, SSO Endpoint, and Public Certificate fields.
d.Ensure Enable just in time (JIT) provisioning and Allow both internal directory and SAML single sign-on check boxes are selected.
After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in HipChat, the second step is to activate the HipChat application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:
1.In the Applications pane, you will notice that the HipChat application you added earlier is currently in inactive state by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, HipChat) and proceed to the next step.
2.Under STA Setup, click Upload HipChat Metadata.
3.On the Metadata upload window, click Browse to search and select the HipChat metadata that you downloaded earlier in step 4(f) of HipChat Setup.
4.Under Account Details, the service provider metadata information is displayed.
5.Click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the HipChat application in SafeNet Trusted Access.
Navigate to the HipChat URL, https://<DNS or IP Address of HipChat>. You will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the HipChat application after authentication.
Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click on the HipChat application icon, you should be redirected to the HipChat application after authentication.
