SafeNet Trusted Access for Cisco Webex

Overview

Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for Cisco Webex is a three-step process:

1.Cisco Webex setup

2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup

3.Verify authentication

Cisco Webex Setup

As a prerequisite download the Identity Provider metadata from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking the Download metadata file button. You will need this metadata in one of the steps below.

Perform the following steps to configure SafeNet Trusted Access as your identity provider in Cisco Webex:

1.Log in to the administrator account of Cisco Webex using the https://admin.webex.com/login URL.

2.On the administrator console, in the left pane, under Control Hub, click Settings.

3.In the right pane, scroll down to Authentication and under Single Sign-On, click Modify.

4.On the Enterprise Settings window, select the Integrate a 3rd-party identity provider. (Advanced) option, and click Next.

5.Under Export Directory Metadata, click Download Metadata File to download the Cisco Webex metadata. Save the metadata on your local machine with the .xml extension (for example, metadata.xml), and click Next.

6.Under Import IdP Metadata, perform the following steps:

a.Click file browser and select the identity provider metadata that you downloaded earlier from the STA console. The metadata will be uploaded automatically.

b.Under Signing of Metadata (Advanced), ensure that Require certificate signed by a certificate authority in Metadata (more secure) option is selected

c.Click Next.

Note:  You should configure Cisco Webex in SafeNet Trusted Access, before proceeding to the next step. Refer to the SafeNet Trusted Access Setup section.

7.On the Test SSO Setup window, click Test SSO Connection to verify the trust relation between IdP and Cisco Webex.

8.You will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page in a web browser. Enter your primary directory login information and approve the two-factor authentication. A successful sign-in message is displayed.

9.Close the web browser.

10.On the Enterprise Settings window, select the The test was successful. Enable Single Sign On. option, and click Save.

SafeNet Trusted Access Setup

After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in Cisco Webex, the second step is to activate the Cisco Webex application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:

1.In the Applications pane, the Cisco Webex application you added earlier is in the inactive state by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, Cisco Webex) and proceed to the next step.

2. Under STA Setup, perform the following steps:

a.Click Upload Cisco Webex Metadata.

b.On the metadata upload window, click Browse to search and select the Cisco Webex metadata that you downloaded earlier in step 5 of the Cisco Webex Setup.

Under Account Details, the service provider metadata is displayed.

c.Under User Portal Settings, in the SERVICE LOGIN URL field, enter the application login URL (for example, https://signin.webex.com).

d.Click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the Cisco Webex application in SafeNet Trusted Access.

Verify Authentication

Using STA Console

Navigate to the Cisco Webex login URL, https://signin.webex.com/collabs/auth, enter your email address, and click Next.

You will be redirected to your SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Cisco Webex user portal after authentication.

Using STA User Portal

Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click the Cisco Webex application icon. You should be successfully logged in to the Cisco Webex user portal after authentication.

Using Cisco Webex Teams Online App

Navigate to the Cisco Webex Teams login URL, https://teams.webex.com/signin, enter your Cisco Teams email address, and click Next. You will be redirected to your SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Cisco Webex Teams user portal after authentication.

Using Cisco Webex Desktop App

Install the Cisco Webex Meetings application on your desktop. On the login window, click Sign In, enter your email address, and click Next. Enter/select your site URL and click Next. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Cisco Webex Meeting application after authentication.

Using Cisco Webex Teams Desktop App

Install the Cisco Webex Teams application on your desktop. On the login window, click Sign In, enter your email address and click Next. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Cisco Webex Team Meeting application after authentication.

Using Cisco Webex Mobile App

Install the Cisco Webex Meetings application on the mobile device (Android/IOS). On the login screen, tap Sign In, enter your email address, and tap Next. Enter/select your Site URL and tap Next. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Cisco Webex application after authentication.

Using Cisco Webex Teams Mobile App

Install the Cisco Webex Teams application on the mobile device (Android/IOS). On the login screen, click Sign In, enter your email address and click Next. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Cisco Webex Teams application after authentication.
