SafeNet Trusted Access for Asana
Configuring SafeNet Trusted Access for Asana is a three-step process:
2.SafeNet Trusted Access setup
As a prerequisite, download the Identity Provider signing certificate from the SafeNet Trusted Access console by clicking on the Download X.509 certificate button. You will need this certificate in one of the steps given below.
Perform the following steps to configure SafeNet Trusted Access as your Identity Provider in Asana:
1.Log in to Asana as an administrator and click the ADMIN tab.
2.At the top right-hand corner of the screen, click on your account domain name (for example, safenet) and click Organization Settings.
3.On the Organization Settings window, click the Administration tab.
4.On the Administration tab, perform the following steps:
a.Under AUTHENTICATION, select the Members must log in via SAML option.
b.In the Sign-in page URL field, enter the SingleSignOnService URL that is provided on the SafeNet Trusted Access console.
You can copy this URL by clicking on the Copy to Clipboard icon available next to the SingleSignOnService field.
c.Open the Identity Provider signing certificate that you download earlier from the SafeNet Trusted Access console in a text editor, and copy the entire text of the file (including the ----BEGIN CERTIFICATE--- and ---END CERTIFICATE---- lines).
d.In the X.509 Certificate field, paste the text that you copied in the previous step.
After completing the first step of configuring SafeNet Trusted Access in Asana, the second step is to activate the Asana application in SafeNet Trusted Access by performing the following steps:
1.In the Applications pane, you will notice that the Asana application that you added previously is currently in inactive state by default. To configure and activate this application, click the application (for example, Asana) and proceed to the next step.
2.Under STA Setup, click Save Configuration to save the details and activate the Asana application in SafeNet Trusted Access.
Navigate to the Asana login URL, https://app.asana.com/a/<Your Domain Name>. You will be redirected to the SafeNet Trusted Access sign-in page. Enter your primary directory login information, approve the two-factor authentication, and you should be redirected to the Asana user account after authentication.
Navigate to the User Portal URL to log in to the STA User Portal dashboard. On the dashboard, you will see a list of applications to which you have access. Click on the Asana application icon, you should be redirected to the Asana user account after authentication.
